Physical Therapy's Moffat Featured in New York Times Article on Balance and Aging
Marily Moffat, professor of physical therapy and author, with Carole B. Lewis, of Age-Defying Fitness, is featured in a recent New York Times article on balance and healthy aging.
"Balance is a motor skill," says Moffat in a "Personal Health" column by Jane E. Brody. "To enhance it, you have to train your balance in the same way you would have to train your muscles for strength and your heart for aerobic capacity."
Moffat offes tips for testing your balance, and simple exercises that can be done at home to improve balance.
