Meier, Ravitch United By Concern for Urban School Children

Diane Ravitch and Deborah Meier, often at odds on the issue of education reform, have been united by concern over the status of the nation’s urban schools. “Recent trends and events seem to be confirming our mutual fears and jeopardizing our common hopes about what schooling might accomplish for the nation’s children,” they write in a commentary that appeared in the May 24 issue of Education Week.
