Steinhardt doctoral candidate Ruben Barato has been selected by the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) for a Lumina Fellowship to support research for his dissertation, Shadows in the Classroom: Undocumented Students in Community Colleges.

In addition, doctoral students Katherine Conway and Anely Ramirez have been chosen to participate in ASHE’s Graduate Student Policy Seminar, which provides an opportunity for advanced doctoral students interested in issues of higher education policy to meet scholars in the field and interact with graduate students with similar interests from across the country.
