Undergraduate Students:
The undergraduate Vocal Performance program in Classical Voice is made up of outstanding students who are committed to intensive performance training within the stimulating academic environment of an internationally acclaimed liberal arts/research university. Our Classical Voice majors tend to have a strong grounding in musicianship skills and most play an instrument. They are committed to serous voice and diction training and are often happy to take advantage of the opportunity to cross traditional lines and participate in music theatre workshops as well as fully-staged music theatre productions. As a result of this commitment to serious vocal study combined with an in-depth acting curriculum our students are well prepared to continue the vocal studies necessary for professional classical voice performance and opera.
