Located in the heart of Greenwich Village in Manhattan, Village Records works with musical artists in career development and by empowering artists in furthering the various aspects of their careers. Composed of an enthusiastic staff of NYU Music Business students, Village Records is a student-run organization that guides artists in the areas of publishing, live performance, repertoire selection, creative design, product management, marketing, publicity & promotions, branding & focus, artist management, image development, online presence, and new media applications.
Recognizing that the music industry is in a constant state of change and evolution, Village Records has positioned itself to best help independent artists - Village Records itself has evolved from being a traditional independent record label into an organization that recognizes the various tools and outlets available and necessary to artists in the digital age.

New York City, April 2011. Village Records has recently released a new compilation album featuring NYU students. Each artist is featured on an original
 track and a cover version of their favorite popular 90's song to create the VR release"Not (just) Another 90's Compilation."
