Benedikte B. Scheiby is Assistant Director of Music Therapy at Beth Abraham Health Services in the Bronx and Director of a postgraduate program at The Institute for Analytical Music Therapy. She was trained by Mary Priestley and has been practicing and teaching Analytical Music Therapy since 1980. Ms. Scheiby has been an internship seminar supervisor at NYU since 1992 and also serves as a site supervisor. She conducts workshops and training workshops in Analytical Music Therapy nationally and internationally on academic music therapy programs. She has written multiple articles about music therapy education, clinical practice, and research. Ms. Scheiby also works in private practice in Manhattan with adults and children.
