Music Theory Faculty: Drew Krause

Drew Krause -- BA Hamilton College, MM The Juilliard School, DMA University of Illinois -- has composed over 80 works for instrumental and electronic media. His music is published by Frog Peak and has been recorded by Innova, New Ariel, Frog Peak, Pogus, and Bonk Records. Dr. Krause has received grants from Harvestworks, The MacDowell Colony, The Wurlitzer Foundation, and Meet the Composer. He has been awarded residencies at Stanford University and Brooklyn College. Recent performances by Dr. Krause include the Roulette, Diapason Gallery, North River Music, International Computer Music Conference, SCI National Conference, FOCUS!, Bonk, and Ought-One festivals. He is the author of the extensive CM-ACT Lisp library for algorithmic music composition and he has previously taught at the University of Illinois and St. Mary s College.
