Paul Geluso

After earning his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Paul Geluso completed a Masters of Music in Music Technology at NYU Steinhardt's acclaimed graduate program. Later and as the chief audio engineer at Harvestworks Digital Media Arts for more than 10 years, he was immersed into the audio art scene, working with a vast array of musicians, composers and experimental media artists who use sound in their creative work.

Currently, in addition to teaching and student advising at NYU Steinhardt, Professor Geluso is a New York based musician, sound artist, engineer and producer. His professional music career started with the release of his first single album in 1992. Since then, he has been credited with hundreds of commercial music and sound projects.

Professor Geluso has composed music and sound scores for live performance, film, video, installation art and dance presenting original work at major art and performance institutions Internationally. He has received grants for composition from the New York State Council for the Arts, Meet The Composer and the James E. Robinson Foundation. He produces new artists for Vurse Media LLC, an international music production and artist management company he co-founded in 2004. In addition, he is developing surround sound software for Digidesign's ProTools with Audio Research Labs.
