MPATE-GE 2615 Electronics by Computer Simulation

Credits: 3 credits
Term: Fall
Instructor: Saul Walker

This course is designed for Music Technology graduate students who did not take undergraduate electronics courses, and for students who wish to learn to use computer simulation as an aid in the design and analysis of electronic circuits. In this course, students investigate the basic principles of both analog and digital electronic circuits by means of computer simulated experiments with particular emphasis on audio applications. The simulation software allows students to construct virtual circuits and then analyze their performance using virtual laboratory test instruments. This modeling technology is a powerful tool for design and analysis, in use throughout the electronics industry.
