Tzeitel Abrego is a junior in the NYU Steinhardt Vocal Performance Program studying music theatre in the studio of Michael Ricciardone. Originally from the Arctic tundra also known as Ottawa, Canada, she began studying singing, piano, and music theory/composition at age 8 after falling in love with music and the creation of art.
In her sophomore year, she performed her NYU debut at the Skirball Center as Marie in The Most Happy Fella. Other NYU credits include City of Angels (Angel City Four Alto) and Fiorello! (Cutie/Striker). Regional credits include Godspell (Herb), Once Upon a Mattress (Lady Larken), and Anne and Gilbert (Prillie/Trio).
In July 2013, Tzeitel will be the provincial representative of Ontario at the National Voice Competition hosted by the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations (CFMTA).
