How to Audition for BM in Percussion Studies

All prospective and transfer students must apply for admission to NYU Steinhardt before scheduling an audition. Apply for undergraduate study.

Schedule Your Audition

Upon submitting your application and materials, contact Professor Jonathan Haas immediately at jonathan.haas@nyu.edu to schedule your audition date and time.

Audition Dates

Sunday, February 12, 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, February 19, 11 a.m.
Sunday, February 26, 11 a.m.
Monday, February 27, 5 p.m.

Please note:

  • If you cannot travel to New York, you may choose to submit your audition video via GetAcceptd. However, you must notify Professor Haas that this is your intention.
  • Also, if you are unable to attend any of the above audition dates but still want to audition live, additional dates can be scheduled on a case-by-case basis with Professor Haas.
  • Prospective transfer students: Though NYU's deadline for Spring transfer admission is November 1 and our deadline for Summer/Fall transfer admission is April 1, we suggest that you submit your Common Application one month in advance. Submitting your Common Application early will leave you more time to schedule an audition by our deadlines above.
