NYU Jazz trombone faculty member Robin Eubanks has performed and/or recorded with Elvin Jones' Jazz Machine, The Mingus Big Band, the Rolling Stones, Slide Hampton's Jazz Masters, Eddie Palmieri, Talking Heads, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, among many others.
His work on television and film includes "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Saturday Night Live," "Jungle Fever" and "Mo' Better Blues." He's also performed on Broadway in "Black and Blue," "Dream Girls" and "Grease." Robin lectures and conducts master classes at many leading educational institutons throughout the U.S. and abroad. He's also been a multiple winner of both DownBeat and Swing Journal's International Polls and has recorded six albums as a leader. Currently Robin leads his own group, Mental Images, and tours with the critically acclaimed, multi-award winning, Dave Holland Quintet.
