Cameroon, Africa native Richard Bona, dubbed “The African Sting,” displays his internationally acclaimed talent, humor, serenity and grace wherever he’s traveled. Professor Bona is one of the most in-demand collaborators in music, working with Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, Tito Puente, Joni Mitchell, Harry Connick Jr., Herbie Hancock, Bobby McFerrin, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Harry Belafonte, George Benson, Paul Simon, and many more. His recordings reveal a wonderful storyteller, a surprising musician, a spellbinding vocalist, and “one of the world’s best bassists.” His unique style is situated at the crossroads of a multiple influences - jazz, bossa nova, pop music, afro-beat, traditional song, and funk.
