Don Friedman, Piano. Friedman has been an NYU faculty member for over 20 years. He has performed or recorded with artists such as Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Ornette Coleman, Buddy DeFranco, Dexter Gordon, Ron McClure and many others. Friedman has recorded more than 60 albums, 24 as leader. Don is considered by many to be one of the most creative jazz pianists alive. His Concord Jazz release, "Don Friedman at Maybeck," showcases his virtuosity as solo pianist on standard and original material. Soul Note recently released a trio album Days of Wine Roses which includes four Don originals.
