Robert J. Landy, is the Founder and Director of the Drama Therapy Program at New York University. He is Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the international journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy. A prolific researcher and author of scholarly books and articles, Dr. Landy bases much of his work upon his many years of experience as an educator, therapist, and supervisor. His books include: Handbook of Educational Drama and Theatre, Drama Therapy -- Concepts, Theories and Practices, Persona and Performance--The Meaning of Role in Drama, Therapy and Everyday Life, Essays in Drama Therapy-- The Double Life, How We See God and Why It Matters, God Lives in Glass, New Essays in Drama Therapy--Unfinished Business, and The Couch and the Stage--Integrating Words and Action in Psychotherapy. Dr. Landy also has extensive experience in the arts-- as a playwright, actor, director and composer. Dr. Landy holds a joint appointment as Professor of Music and Applied Psychology.
