Throughout your certificate course work, you’ll study:
- Reference and research in music education
- Technological trends in music pedagogy
- The foundations of music education
- Advanced performance study
Your curriculum combines intensive study in music education and pedagogy with performance opportunities or private study in instrumental performance. With your faculty advisor, you will devise a program of study based on your interests and area of specialization.
You'll also hone your musical talents by participating in a variety of performing ensembles and chamber groups directed by leading New York artists, as well as private study in instrumental performance.
