Educational Theatre Faculty: Valerie Marcus Ramshur

Valerie Marcus Ramshur (Adjunct) B.A. in Theater /Anthropology from Bennington College, MFA in Design for Stage and Film from NYU Tisch School of the Arts : is an adjunct instructor of Costume Design in Educational Theatre.  A professionally active costume designer in the New York theater community, working on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regionally on television. as well as having worked in  Europe.  Costume Director for the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball, Visiting artist and lecturer at NYU Tisch School, Bennington College, and an adjunct professor of Fashion at Berkeley College in New York City.
Before NYU,, she worked as a teaching artist K-12 and taught theatre and theater design  to all ages in various summer programs and after school programs in and around New York. Valerie has extensive performance training in stage, dance and television from Cabrillo College, Bennington College and the  Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England, and has enjoyed performing for audiences in New York, California and  England.
