Educational Theatre Faculty: Andy Hall

Andy Hall (adjunct instructor) received a BA in Studio Arts from the University of Minnesota and his MFA in Theater Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Set designs include: Angel in America: Perestrokia at NYU directed by Michael Mayer, The Country Wife at NJ Shakespeare, She Stoops to Conquer at Juilliard directed by Maria Aitkens, The Castle directed by Mark Wing Davey, and many others –including numerous original plays performed at NJ Rep.

Andy taught Theater Appreciation and Stagecraft, designed sets and lights, ran a performing arts series, and refurbished/ updated performing arts spaces at Monmouth University where he worked from 1995 to 2001. For the Steinhardt School he designed The Class Project, Polaroid Stories, Five Times Wilder, Hair, and The Mischief Makers.

Most recently he has taught Design for the Stage here at NYU and Rendering and Graphic Technique, and Stagecraft for the State University of New York at Purchase.
