Educational Theatre Faculty: Kevin Bott

Kevin Bott is a third-year doctoral candidate in Educational Theatre and Steinhardt Doctoral Fellow. He is working on his dissertation entitled, “A Ritual for Return: Investigating the Process of Creating Original Theatre with Formerly Incarcerated Men.” Kevin is the former program officer for the prison arts non-profit, Rehabilitation for the Arts (RTA), and has been facilitating theater workshops and original productions in various New York State prisons since 2006. In addition to his work in U.S. prisons, Kevin has implemented applied theater initiatives in public schools, drug rehabilitation clinics, and at a minimum-security prison in northern Uganda. Kevin is currently the director of the Publicly Active Graduate Education program (PAGE) with the non-profit organization, Imagining America.
