Robert Landy, Director of Drama Therapy

Robert Landy, PhD, RDT-BCT, is the founder and director of the drama therapy program at NYU. He is one of the pioneers in the field of Drama Therapy whose research and writing have influenced many generations of creative arts therapists internationally. He is the author of numerous books, including the seminal text, Drama Therapy: Concepts, Theories and Practices, which was translated into several foreign languages. He is the Editor-in-Chief emeritus of The Arts in Psychotherapy. Robert has extensive experience in the theatre as an actor, director and writer. His work is continually recognized by many honors and awards including a Fulbright Fellowship and the Distinguished Teaching Medal at NYU in 2002.
