Meghan Love

Ryan JensenMeghan Love is originally from Las Cruces, NM, and began taking ballet classes when she was 9 years old at Michele’s Dance Academy. At age 13, she joined the Las Cruces Chamber Ballet and danced in major ballets such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. She has taught ballet, tap, and jazz to 3-14 year olds at Michele’s Dance Academy, in after-school programs throughout Las Cruces, and was an Adjunct Professor at New Mexico State University teaching Jazz Technique I. In 2001, she graduated from New Mexico State University with her BA in Theatre Arts, with a focus in Acting and Directing. Professionally, she has choreographed for American Southwest Theatre Company and the Black Box Theatre in Las Cruces, NM, and toured with the Creede, Colorado Repertory Theatre. Meghan moved to New York City in 2003 and worked in Off-Off Broadway theatre, including starting her own non-profit theatre company, New World Theater, where she was the Co-Artistic Director. In the fall of 2010 she joined the third class of the ABT Ballet Pedagogy Masters Program at NYU, and graduating in May 2012 with her Master of Arts in Dance Education, becoming an ABT National Training Curriculum Certified Teacher in Pre-Primary - Level 7 & Partnering. From January 2011 through August 2011, Meghan was the very first intern for the National Training Curriculum, assisting with teacher training sessions and the Affiliate Exam process. Beginning in 2012 she became full-time National Training Curriculum staff, and she was also on faculty at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet’s Children’s Division at American Ballet Theatre from 2012-2014, teaching ballet to 3 through 14 year olds. She is a member of the National Dance Education Organization, and has presented at three of their national conferences. She is currently an NTC Certification Examiner and an NTC Affiliate Examiner. Meghan is now the Manager of the National Training Curriculum and the ABT/NYU Masters Program, and is co-instructor in the ABT/NYU Masters program, focusing on the levels of Pre-Primary through Level 3.
