All prospective and transfer students must first submit an application for admission to the Steinhardt School at New York University before scheduling an audition below. You can find information on the application process through the Office of Graduate Admissions,

Auditions are required for entrance to graduate programs in Dance Education.

Auditions for ABT Master's Program

Sunday, February 26, 2017
1:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend, please submit an audition video online via GetAcceptd (instructions here). The online video should be ten minutes maximum and include the following: Work at the barre and in the center consisting of an adagio, petit allegro and grand allegro, as well as a port de bras exercise and pirouette combination with both en dehors and en dedans turns. Only one side of each exercise needs to be demonstrated.

The live audition class includes a ballet barre, modern dance center exercises, improvisation, and hip hop. If you are unable to attend the live audition, please submit an online video via GetAcceptd (instructions here). Applicants should be visibly alone on camera, and the video should be no more than five minutes maximum. The audition should include basic class exercises demonstrating proficiency in a style or genre of dance and focused on showcasing a foundation in the chosen technique. Please do not submit videos of performances or choreography.
