November 2011: A broader and bolder approach uses education to break the cycle of poverty. Dr. Noguera presents his “broader and bolder" ideas about using education to lift children out of poverty in the November issue of Kappan.

 Nov 30th 2011: The Washington Post - Broader, bolder’ strategy to ending poverty’s influence on education. Dr. Noguera argues that the research suggests that poor children encounter obstacles that often adversely affect their development and learning outcomes rather than suggesting that poor children are incapable of learning or that poverty itself should be regarded as learning disability.
