Extended Day Programs

Instructional Mediators work with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, one-on-one or in small groups. The focus for our work is literacy through the arts. Tutoring in literacy is tied with music, drama, or art, culminating in a project or stage production. Instructional Mediators work with students in thirty-minute sessions. Instructional Mediators can work up to fifteen hours per week. The schedule is 3 PM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Extended Day Program is geared toward hiring undergraduate students as Instructional Mediators. This is mainly because graduate students' schedules are commonly busier in the evenings.
