Metro Center Tutoring Programs

The Metro Center Tutoring Programs (MCTP) put graduate students to work as instructional mediators in elementary, middle, and high schools during the school day. Instructional Mediators work with students individually or in small groups depending on the program. Subject areas include reading, math, social studies, history, and science. They work with students individually or in small groups in the area of literacy.

Statistical Data: Among the twenty-eight current School day instructional mediators, 86% graduate students in Steinhardt, 14% are graduate students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
