Leadership program

Leadership

Including school leadership teams and leadership training for administrators

The Leadership Program funded through a USDOE grant provides sustained professional development and ongoing mentoring in three key leadership areas:

  • instructional leadership
  • community and parent leadership
  • systems and operations management.

The program is designed to prepare and support novice and veteran assistant principals and principals to meet the highly complex responsibilities of being strong instructional leaders who can effect institutional change and create an environment that will improve student achievement in high-need schools.

Professional development seminars are held through-out the school year in conjunction with full-day job-embedded workshops. On-site mentoring, two full days or four half-days a month, provides opportunities for on-going support and integration and application of skills that are focus in seminar and workshops.
