Broad Based Advisory Committee Selected for Black and Latino Male Study

Pedro Noguera, Executive Director of Metro Center, announced members of an advisory board to the BLMS Study. The study, “Is Male Alright?”: An Intervention Study of Single Sex Schools for Black and Latino Males, is completing the second year of a 3-year study. The research question framing the study focuses on understanding how the selected schools in NYC, Houston, and Chicago are developed and implemented, and in identifying the academic and social outcomes of Black and Latino males in single-sex schools in comparison to co-educational schools.
