Who We Are

The Adolescent Post-Secondary Education Exchange Program (APEX) is a flexibly structured, individualized, as well as small-group mentoring program that helps build college pathway knowledge and skills for high students. Many of our current students are of immigrant origin and/or the first in their family to go to college. Overall, the mentoring activities of the APEX program are expected to enhance the college-awareness and college-readiness of high school students. Mentors are current NYU students and serve as role models, mediators and "brokers" of information and knowledge. Sessions are held at each of our partnering high schools once a week as well as on Saturdays at NYU.
