The Urban Assembly School for Criminal Justice for Young Women opened its doors in September 2007 to 78 girls who represent a variety of cultures and languages; 87% of them speak another language other than English at home. The school has decided to partner with NYU's Metro Center and supported with funding from the after-school corporation (TASC). Our Center will assist in the implementation of the school's after-school and Summer Links program in the following ways:
1) Hiring of site supervisor whose responsibilities would include
2) Recruiting and identifying approximately 10 undergraduate or
graduate students to lead an after-school group that focuses on a
specific
3) Securing space for UASCJ presentations and work space when necessary
4) Participating in studies and research about our school's structures and practices
