Who We Are

The New York State Spanish Bilingual Education Technical Assistance Center (NYS SBETAC) is a state-funded program under a contract with the New York State Education Department’s Office of Bilingual Education and Foreign Language Services. We are located in the heart of the New York University community within the Steinhardt School of Education.

The NYS SBETAC provides technical assistance to schools, districts, regions, and their staff, including administrators, teachers, and other personnel. Our work enables others to provide quality instructional services to Spanish-speaking English language learners across the New York State. The NYS SBETAC provides assistance via phone, email, and in person through its Professional Development Menu of offerings.
