Center for Equity and Achievement (CEA)

The Metro Center for Urban Education is pleased to count The Center for Equity and Achievement(CEA) among its exemplary programs. CEA embodies the spirit of the Metro Center mission and gives priority assistance to local education authority districts to help them maintain or advance access to quality education in a manner that will result in higher achievement in reading, mathematics, and other core subjects. CEA is one of the Metro Center's core programs to improve public education. Since 1980, CEA has worked with public school districts in an ongoing, largely successful effort to achieve equitable representation and opportunity among all population groups who attend public schools.
