Faculty in NYU Steinhardt are deeply engaged in examining some of the most important and fascinating questions facing society today - from childhood obesity to school discipline, from charter schools to internet communication, from poverty and schooling to HIV/AIDs. Our faculty receive millions of dollars annually from a wide array of funders, such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, the Ford Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation to support their research and field projects. Our faculty serve on the editorial boards of dozens of leading academic journals and lead their professional associations.
