About the Media Lab

The Media Lab is a resource available to MCC Faculty, Staff, and PhD students for department-owned equipment loans and department-wide projects. Our Mac computers, installed with specialized digital imaging and editing software, are also available for your use.

How do I submit a request to the Media Lab?
To request Media Lab assistance, make an appointment to use the machines in the lab, or to reserve department-owned equipment, email the Media Lab. Please do not stop by staff offices to make requests. The Media Lab team will receive your request, you will receive a response within 1 business day.

Note: Equipment is to be used for classroom activities or MCC special events. The Media Lab does not set up equipment in classrooms. Faculty and staff are responsible for pick-up, set-up, and return of equipment. Faculty who need A/V equipment set-up in classrooms should request equipment via NYU Campus Media. Gina Young can assist you in making these requests.

Who do I contact for Computer Support?
The department has signed a service agreement with the University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) for on-site computer support for participating faculty and staff. Call ext. 8-3388 or email its.desktop@nyu.edu when you need assistance. If your computer is not covered under the department’s ITS contract, then contact the ITS general help desk at ext. 8-3333 or submit a request through the ITS website.
