New York City offers numerous internship opportunities for students eager to explore the media, culture, and communication industries.
MCC Undergraduates of junior or senior standing and MCC graduate students are eligible to intern for course credit. Read the Department's step-by-step guide to interning for credit.
MCC hosts a password-protected internship database of available positions that is searchable by field of interest, date posted, company name, and compensation. New listings are added weekly. Many organizations also list internships on their website.
We encourage students to be selective in their search. Internships are most effective when students acquire the skills they will need to secure a desired position in the industry of their choice. We advise students to learn upfront about the job responsibilities they will assume over the course of the internship.
For help finding meaningful internships, students can also:
- Read our career tips.
- Browse through the Student Internship Binders located on the 8th floor of the East Building. These binders contain student evaluations of all internships taken for credit by MCC students.
- Search for internship opportunities on NYU's job site NYU CareerNet. The Wasserman Center offers internship awards that can help offset costs for eligible NYU students.
