Research and teaching interests include: young people's self/identity development and cultural learning in multiple media environments; media education for social change; youth-media production and cross-cultural communication; popular media audiences; interpretative/ethnographic methodologies. Publications in communication and education journals; author of Growing Up with Television: Everyday Learning Among Young Adolescents (2002, Temple U Press).
