Executive Editorial Board
The Executive Editorial Board of the Journal of Student Affairs consists of graduate students in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at New York University. The editors promote the sumission of articles that address issues of critical interest to the NYU community and among higher education and student affairs professionals. The opinion and attitudes expressed within the Journal do not necessarily reflect those of the Executive Editorial Board.

Mishaal is a second year, full-time Master's student in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU. Her research interests include bi/multiracial students, residential life and housing services, international students, and fraternity and sorority students. She currently works as a Residential Life Assistant in an upperclass and graduate student residence hall for NYU Residential Life and Housing Services. She also serves as a Graduate Student Ambassador for NYU's Student Resource Center.
Rebecca is a second year, full-time Master's student in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU. Her research interests include equity and access, social justice, and civic engagement research. Rebecca's internship is at Pratt Institute in the Student Involvement Office as the Program Board Advisor.
Fanny is a second year, full-time Master's student in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU. Her research interests include students of color, access and retention of first generation college students, and student activities. She holds her graduate assistantship at NYU School of Engineering at the Office of Student Activities and Resource Center and works as a student leader in NYU Residential Life and at the NYU Student Resource Center.
Kristina is a second year, part-time master's student in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU and an academic advisor at Seton Hall University. Her research interests include state and federal education policy, academic advising styles, student development, career choice, and higher education outcomes.
Ryan is a second year, full-time Master's student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at NYU Steinhardt. His research interests include LGBTQ access and support, diversity and social justice, and living/learning communities. He is currently working as a Resident Director in Housing and Residential Education at The Cooper Union.
Gregory Wolniak, Ph.D.
Director of the Center for Research on Higher Education Outcomes and Clinical Assistant Professor of Higher Education
Dr. Gregory Wolniak is Director of the Center for Research on Higher Education Outcomes and Clinical Associate Professor of Higher Education at New York University. Under Wolniak’s leadership, CRHEO promotes a research agenda concentrating on the measurement and advancement of research on higher education outcomes. He oversees a portfolio of projects that address different facets of the effects of college on students, with a distinct focus on professional development and program effectiveness. Wolniak has authored or co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal publications or reports. His scholarship and writing center on advancing our understanding of education in society and the role of the higher education system in influencing student access, opportunity, and development. In recent years he has published articles on college student learning in relation to persistence, and the lasting influence high school contexts have on success in college, among other topics. Wolniak is on the editorial boards of Research in Higher Education and the Journal of Higher Education, with his most recent publications appearing in Teachers College Record, The High School Journal, and Review of Higher Education.
