Our M.A. program prepares urban school leaders who want to work toward equitable and good schools for all children and youth. Graduates of the program work as teacher leaders, as principals, and in a variety of other educational leadership positions in public and private schools.

Electives offer opportunities to pursue additional study based on your individual expertise, experience, or professional goals, including unique summer study abroad opportunities in Brazil, Mexico, and South Africa.
Throughout the program, you will develop a leadership portfolio that provides evidence of the competencies you have developed, reflections on your field experiences, and your plans for continuous learning.
Graduates are eligible for certification as a school building leader in New York State.
