NYU Steinhardt's undergraduate and graduate art programs foster imaginative art-making, intellectual exchange, and career preparation.
About Our Programs
Studio
programs develop and expand technical abilities in painting, drawing,
sculpture, photography, digital media, video, performance, printmaking,
craft media, installation, and design, while pushing students to
grapple with the theoretical and critical issues that face studio
artists today.
Professional programs merge theory and practice, preparing students for rewarding visual arts careers as teaching artists and art educators, art therapists, administrators, curators, art advocates, and consultants.
New York City's galleries, museums, schools, studios, and performance spaces, from Chelsea to Brooklyn and the Lower East Side, are an integral part of NYU's campus, as are the university's vast intellectual and academic resources.
You will graduate from NYU Steinhardt with the skills, creativity, confidence, and network of support necessary to thrive as a practicing artist or art professional.
