Bring your love of the arts to leadership positions with arts institutions. NYU Steinhardt's unique MA program in Visual Arts Administration prepares students for dynamic careers in the commercial and non-profit art sectors.

Study with peers from around the world and with business faculty and top arts professionals who bring their marketing, finance, management, legal, and fundraising expertise directly into the classroom. Focus on traditional methods of presentation and audience development as well as new media and technology.

Engage in practical learning through internships around the city -- from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council -- and take advantage of a wealth of career networking opportunities.

Deepen your understanding of global trends and practices in performing and visual arts management through our study abroad courses in London and in the Netherlands/Berlin.

Our Alumni

Program alumni are museum directors, fundraising experts, public art advocates, gallery directors, corporate art consultants, and art fair managers across the U.S. and around the world.

Financial Aid

Each year, we award $6 million in tuition scholarships to Steinhardt master’s students, which are determined by merit and financial need. These scholarships, combined with loans and student employment, help both full- and part-time students afford the cost of a graduate education.
