NYU Housing
How to request
NYU housing is limited to a first-come, first-served basis and must be requested on the application form. Applicants who do not request housing must arrange their own hotel accomodation in New York. New York University cannot make alternative housing arrangements.
Participants who do not ask for university housing on their application form must find alternative housing arrangements. New York University is unable to assist participants with finding outside housing arrangements.
Location
Participants who request and pay for NYU Housing will be housed at Palladium Hall, located in historic Greenwich Village, within walking distance from classrooms and the main campus in Washington Square and accessible to all trains.
Description
These accommodations are extremely basic and are used as student dormitories during the academic year. Each participant will have their own private bedroom within a suite that consists of seven to nine single bedrooms, and minimum of five shared bathrooms with stall showers, a large common lounge and a shared kitchen.

- Internet (guest code provided at front desk for dormitory)
- Single (twin) bed
- One set of linens (sheet set, blanket, pillow, pillow case, towel)
- Desk
- Bureau
- Shared kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, cook-top, sink, and microwave oven.
- Washer and dryer available in the building and is available for a small fee.
Cleaning and maid services are not provided. Any additional cooking or cleaning supplies needed can be inexpensively purchased at Kmart on Astor Place.
Television and phones are NOT provided in dormitory rooms (although you may bring a land line phone if you wish and you will be able to receive calls and make local calls). It is recommended that participants bring an Ethernet cable for their laptop as wireless internet service is not guaranteed and takes some time to be set up for new users. Participants staying in university housing should be aware that the dormitory is not a hotel and does not come with hotel amenities.
