About the Study

New FAMS is a NSF- funded multi-national project examining the prenatal roots of individual differences in self-regulation. The Principal Investigator of the study is Professor Clancy Blair in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University along with partners in the UK and Netherlands. The study examines mothers, fathers, and their children and the ways that families develop in the child’s first two years. We are interested in the development of attention and emotion and how early experiences, including the prenatal experiences carry forward into the childhood years.
