Outstanding undergraduate and graduate students at NYU Steinhardt are invited to apply for the Dean's Grants for Student Research 2011 Competition. Undergraduates may be awarded up to $500 to explore an idea under the supervision of a faculty member. Graduate students may be awarded up to $1,000 to explore a faculty-sponsored independent research project or a specific component of thesis or dissertation work, e.g. instrument development/validation or a pilot study.
Your proposed research must be conducted within the time specified, and adhere to guidelines established by the University Committee on Activities Involving Human Subjects. Grant recipients are expected to submit a written report once research is completed (see application below for deadline details), including the question under investigation, research methods, results, conclusions, and how the monies from the Dean’s Grant were used.
