IMPROVEMENTS MADE FOR TRACKING HEALTHY PEOPLE 2010

DATA2010 is an interactive database system developed by National Center for Health Statistics and contains the most recent monitoring data for tracking Healthy People 2010. Data are included for all the objectives and subgroups identified in the Healthy People 2010: Objectives for Improving Health. DATA2010 contains primarily national data, however, state-based data are provided as available.  A new version of DATA2010 was released at the recent APHA meeting.  DATA2010 now includes the updated data available in the second edition of Healthy People 2010.  A new search capability has been introduced allowing users to search for objectives based on the data source. All the previous searching capabilities have been retained in the new DATA2010, including searching by focus area, specific objectives within a focus area, specific population groups, and key words. New state-based mortality and natality data have been added to the database, as well as data for additional racial groups!
