Advocacy

NYSCHE is currently advocating against:

  • the closing of health education & physical education departments on state colleges

  • the exclusion of health education training, degrees and/or certification as requirements for state health education related civil service titles

  • the reduction/elimination of state high school health education requirements
NYSCHE is currently working on advancing the use of health education in the implementation of the state's health plan, Communities Working Together for a Healthier New York.
