The Graduate Student of Arts and Science administers the Graduate Student Educational Development Program (GSEDP) in partnership with the College of Arts and Science and the Steinhardt School of Education, and in cooperation with the Center for Teaching Excellence. GSEDP is the teaching preparation program for all graduate student teachers in the Faculty of Arts and Science and the School of Education.

The program offers a one-day training event, planned and realized by experienced Graduate Teaching fellows, at the beginning of the fall semester each year for newly appointed graduate students who teach, as well as workshops throughout the year.
