2016 Baccalaureate Celebration

More than 700 baccalaureate graduates participated in NYU Steinhardt's Baccalaureate Celebration on May 17, 2016 at The Beacon Theater. The program included remarks by Dean Dominic Brewer, President Andrew Hamilton, Professor Fabienne Doucet, and baccalaureate graduate Destiny Lopez. Danielle D. Butin (BS ’85) received the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. The ceremony included personal handshakes on stage for each graduating student; featured the Dancing Educators; was punctuated by the sounds of the NYU Brass Ensemble, the NYU Pipes and Drums, and the Music Theatre Ensemble; and concluded with a rousing rendition of a Steinhardt favorite, “New York, New York.”
