2013 Baccalaureate Celebration

More than 680 baccalaureate graduates in applied psychology, art, communication, education, health, and music participated in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development Baccalaureate Celebration on Tuesday, May 15th at Radio City Music Hall in midtown Manhattan. The 6000-seat theatre was filled with proud and cheering relatives and friends. The program included remarks by Dean Mary Brabeck,Vice Provost for Academic, Faculty, and Research Affairs C. Cybele Raver, Professor David Schroeder, Distinguished Achievement Awardee Charlotte Ronson, B.S. ''99, and baccalaureate graduate Stephanie M. Plachy. The ceremony included personal handshakes on stage for each graduating student and was punctuated by the sounds of the NYU Brass Ensemble, the NYU Pipes and Drums, and the Music Theatre Ensemble. The ceremony featured the Dancing Educators and concluded with a rousing rendition of a Steinhardt favorite, "New York, New York."
