Let us know your plans by submitting your tuition deposit form

To confirm your place in the incoming class, we require a non-refundable tuition deposit that is applied as a credit to your student account. Please submit your tuition deposit form and check or money order made out to "New York University" to NYU Steinhardt, Office of Graduate Admissions, 82 Washington Square East, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10003. Please note that all check or money orders must be in US funds only and to please include you NYU ID# in the memo section. Unless otherwise instructed, the deposit is due within three weeks of the date of your acceptance letter so please make sure to get it to the Office of Graduate Admissions on time!

Financial Aid

Master's and Advanced Certificate students who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible to be considered for our school-wide scholarships, student loans and college workstudy. The FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) must be completed and submitted to NYU (institution code 002785) by February 1 for Summer/Fall enrollment and November 1 for Spring enrollment in order to receive the fullest consideration.   Do not wait to be accepted for admission.  Applying after the deadline will delay the processing of federal aid and student loans and result in loss of consideration for scholarships.  Some scholarships require a separate application and have other deadlines so be sure to check the Graduate Admissions website for details. Financial aid award letters are mailed to your permanent address on file beginning mid- to late March for the Summer/Fall and in late November for the Spring.

International applicants are encouraged to visit www.steinhardt.nyu.edu/financial.aid and  http://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/international.php to learn more regarding financial aid options.

Full-time doctoral applicants who submit completed applications by the December 15 deadline, regardless of country of citizenship, will receive consideration for scholarships, fellowships and assistantships.

Get e-connected: Activate your NYU NetID and your NYU email account

Most university offices will communicate with you via your NYU email account EXCLUSIVELY. It is imperative that you obtain and activate your NYU-assigned NetID and access your NYUHome email account as soon as possible. Visit http://start.nyu.edu/ to begin activating your account.

Living in New York City

Accepted candidates who requested on-campus housing on their application for admission and submitted their tuition deposit will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to apply for housing. Visit the NYU Housing web site at www.nyu.edu/housing to find detailed information on the types of residences available.

Because graduate housing at NYU is limited, we strongly encourage you to investigate the services provided by NYU's Off-Campus Housing Office (OCHO) at http://www.nyu.edu/housing/offcampus/ or 212-998-4620. OCHO is a resource for you to get helpful information, guidance, and services.
