How is my private piano teacher chosen?
There are a number of effective ways in accomplishing this. You might begin by discussing this with your current teacher. It is likely that he or she will be familiar with many of our faculty members. However, if you have not chosen a teacher by the time you enroll at NYU, this will be discussed at length during your initial advisement with the Director of the Program. Because your pianistic development will be largely derived from your weekly piano lessons, it is important for you to choose a teacher who will best support your individual talent and needs.
