Does everyone follow the same application process?
All students applying as incoming freshman will follow the same process. In addition, there are three types of transfer students: external transfers, internal transfers, and change of majors. External transfers are students who come from colleges and universities that are not affiliated with NYU. Internal transfers are students who are applying from undergraduate schools within NYU that are not affiliated with the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development (e.g., College of Arts and Sciences, Gallatin, Tisch School of the Arts, Stern Business School). Change-of-Majors are students pursuing programs within the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development that are not affiliated with the Applied Psychology Undergraduate Program (e.g., Teaching and Learning, Culture and Communication).
